It’s almost that time of year again, Croton!
Back to school season is on the horizon and we’re spending as much time with our family as we can in these last few weeks of summertime. The businesses and organizations of Croton-on-Hudson have the events to keep our summer alive in the home stretch.
Don’t get those backpacks ready quite yet, there’s still fun to be had right here in our own back yard.
Saturday and Sunday
August 26th & 27th
We kicked off this past week with the start of the Dutchess County Fair in Rhinebeck where families from Croton and beyond flock for food, music, animals and activities that can’t be found anywhere else.
This weekend’s fair experience is arguably the best time to visit, bringing the bigger crowds and the best sales and products from our Hudson Valley and continental vendors. There’s still opportunities to snag tickets to the fair so head over to the Rhinebeck Fairgrounds and make some memories.
Looking for a unique take on a weekday dinner? Yuka’s Latin Fusion is presenting an authentic Latin tapas menu paired with an outstanding cocktail menu. Start your week right by joining the Yuka’s team for a fantastic dinner experience.
If you love to read aloud to share a story or recite dramatic dialogue with other people, this Book Club is for you. Each month we read a novel, play, or poetry. At meetings after briefly discussing the work, each member reads aloud a character’s dialogue, a poem, or narrates. Visit the Croton Free Library this Tuesday to check it out!
Want a break from the kitchen? Yuka’s Latin Fusion is offering 5$ Mojitos to help you relax after a long day and celebrate Wednesday. Grab some great food and unwind with friends in the Yuka’s bar and lounge. Their happy hour is amazing and at they’re offering house margaritas, house wines, and bottled beers for all under $5.
Do you have a team of little builders and inspiring architects at home? The Croton Free Library’s Lego Club has different building activities for a range of age groups where your little ones can be creative and problem solve. The sky is the limit with this imaginative workshop!
The Croton Free Library is hosting a stunning collection of photography from celebrated artist and photographer, Steven Mones. These works are currently for sale and all sales will exclusively benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s and CFL research. You might even recognize some of our favorite landmarks and landscapes in Steven’s photos.
