New Business Alert! We are excited to share about this local family startup in the Harmon area of Croton-on-Hudson, NY.
Samantha and Riley Moeller, Croton residents from the financial industry, decided to take the plunge, divide, conquer and open a business on their own. Riley became inspired to open a shop after a long drive over the Bear Mountain bridge on an old electric bike. After a lot of research and discussion, Pedego Electric Bikes in Croton was born.
They will be available for sale, service, rental, and eventually tours at their Croton location. The Moeller’s exclusively sell Pedego Electric Bikes, which first came to market in 2009. The store is located at 364 South Riverside Ave. in Croton in Harmon. These bikes are designed for the average rider who doesn’t mind the assistance of a battery that can reach speeds of 20 miles per hour. The Pedego store carries different styles that appeal to everyone, from adventure and recreation models to specialty bikes, like the “stretch,” seating for two. There is also an electric adult tricycle and the convenience of a folding bike. If you have young children, they offer “kid bike trailers” and cargo trailers offering a selection that appeals to almost everyone.
If you are interested in renting a Pedego e-bike, they offer full-day, half-day, and hourly options. You need to be at least 16 years to ride one, and at that age, you must have an adult accompany you when you rent. They not only sell Pedego Electric Bikes but repair them as well. If you are interested in purchasing one, the prices start at around $2,000.
It was great spending time with Samantha, Riley, and their two little ones discussing the excitement around their new venture. I recommend that you take the opportunity on Saturday to stop in to learn more about their store and give a Pedego Electric Bike a try!
